My career in service began Nordstrom, where I learned that exceptional service isn’t about making a sale. It’s about building relationships, understanding people, and taking personal responsibility for their experience.
I carried that philosophy into tech sales, earning the trust of senior partners at some of the country’s most demanding law firms. Then I spent over a decade as a solo real estate agent, closing more than $100 million in sales.
Along the way, friends and clients began asking me to connect them with great agents. I realized that finding the right agent requires the same things I’ve built my career around: asking the right questions, knowing what excellence looks like, and understanding that the right fit matters.
That’s why I created LetsMovetoChicago.com. I bring firsthand industry experience and a high bar for service to every recommendation. I look beyond credentials and flashy websites to understand how and where an agent works, what they do well, and whether they’re right for you.
Because choosing an agent is too important to leave to a directory, an algorithm, or a blind trust. Every introduction I make comes with something personal behind it: my judgment, my experience, and my commitment to getting it right.
About Your Guide
John was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and moved to Chicago in the early 2000’s. Over the years he has lived in some of Chicago’s most coveted neighborhoods including Lakeview, Wicker Park, Edgewater, and Uptown.
He has been a licensed real estate agent in Missouri and Illinois for more than a decade. He knows Chicago’s neighborhoods, housing styles, and local agents, and community quirks from personal experience. That’s why he created the Chicago Neighborhood Guide, an interactive resource with detailed information on more than 50 Chicago neighborhoods.
